I tried it but I made bigger curls-it actually took a while for the curls and tin foil to cool- which is what makes the curls last longer. You MUST make sure the curl is completely cool before removing the foil. I wonder if you can’t do this the night before and just sleep in it? That might be my next experiment.

I tried this a number of times and finally got it right. To everyone asking for instructions,here they are. Step 1: Take a section of hair and starting from the top,wrap it around your finger. Step 2: Keep wrapping it around your finger until you get to the end of the hair. Step 3: Carefully remove your finger from around the hair while still keeping it coiled up. Step 4: Take your foil,any kind of foil will do,and place it behind the section of hair. Step 5: Wrap foil around hair and fold it until it is secure in place. Keep doing this until your whole head is done. Step 6: This part is kind of tricky,take your flat iron and depending on your type of hair is depending on how you set it,my hair can hold a curl for days without any kind of hairspray so I use a low to medium setting,but for harder to curl hair,try a medium to high setting. When using your flat iron try not to squeeze to hard,it will flatten the curl,place flat iron on the front and back for about 15-35 seconds,depends on heat level,then do the sides of the foil for the same amount of time. Once done with all of the foil sections your hair will look somewhat like what is pictured,depending on how large or small the sections are is how curly or wavy your hair will be. You can add hairspray or gel before you wrap the foil around it or afterwards,it is a personal preference. Depending on how long your hair is,depends on how long it will take,I have really long hair,and it took me about 45 minutes to do.

it does depend how long you leave your hair in the flat iron DUH!! Ff you have chemically processed hair you don’t want to leave it in there too long especially if you have bleached your hair! Fine hair or over processed hair should only have heat that is between 280-320 F for less than a minute, medium hair to normal 320-380F for a minute and ethnic hair or coarse hair should have the highest heat 380F+ about a minute and 15 seconds. With the foil around the hair it will insulate the hair to keep it warm and circulate the heat to all the strands to the cortex so they become curly. Keep all of them in at least a half an hour to 45minutes to cool down so that the shaft, cortex and cuticle cool down and keep the shape of the curls. Then you can take off the foil and apply hair spray and gently run your hands threw your hair IF YOU WANT for a more curly effect. To much fussing though will make it look like a poodle just saying.

You’re all asking for instructions?! How hard does it look?! Wrap a piece of hair around your fingers. The more hair/more fingers, the looser the curl. Fold a piece of foil over it, and fold over the sides, like when doing highlights. Press a flat iron on it, moving side to side, to heat it. Who cares how long?! Depends on your hair, just get it hot. Leave in to cool, again, depends on your hair thickness/length/ability to curl. Take out. Hairspray if needed, or not, who cares.
Done.
